David Perez

David A. Perez is the founder of Tax Maverick and a 17-year veteran of the tax industry who has overseen 50,000+ returns and built a seven-figure advisory firm in under a year. He helps tax professionals launch and scale profitable advisory practices—equipping firms with the playbooks, pricing models, and software to deliver repeatable, high-value outcomes. In 2024 alone, advisors using his frameworks generated over $10M in new advisory revenue.

David’s mission is to move the profession from compliance-only to advisory-first. Through Tax Maverick’s platform and training, he enables firms to help their high-income clients legally avoid overpaying taxes and convert savings into strategies for long-term, generational wealth. He calls it breaking the “rich trap”—where clients earn more but keep too little due to reactive, year-end planning.

Whether partnering directly with firms or enabling in-house teams, David focuses on building scalable advisory systems that make sophisticated, proactive tax planning accessible, compliant, and client-centric.
